Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 September 2026

These terms apply to the CheerJudge app and website. By using CheerJudge you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the app. Questions: support@cheerjudgeapp.com.

1. What CheerJudge is

CheerJudge is a practice tool. You film a tumbling pass, tell us which skills you performed, and the app returns a difficulty score, a technique score, itemised deductions, level-legality information and recommended drills.

CheerJudge is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any cheerleading federation, governing body, gym, brand or competition.

2. Subscriptions and billing

3. Free trial

Where a free trial is offered, it applies to the annual plan. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins and your Apple account is charged. Any unused portion of a trial is forfeited if you subscribe before it ends.

4. Fair use and analysis limits

Your subscription includes up to 50 video analyses per calendar month. The allowance resets on the first day of each month and does not carry over.

This is set generously above normal use — most athletes analyse somewhere between five and twenty passes a month. If you reach the limit and genuinely need more, get in touch and we'll sort it out.

AI Coach questions are not counted against the analysis allowance, but are subject to fair use.

We may adjust these limits, with reasonable notice, where necessary to keep the service running sustainably or to prevent misuse.

5. Acceptable use

6. Service availability

CheerJudge depends on third-party services, including an external AI provider. We aim to keep the app available and working, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service, and analyses may occasionally fail or be delayed.

If we ever need to discontinue the service, we'll give reasonable notice and you'll be able to cancel your subscription through Apple.

7. Scores are estimates, not official results

Every score, deduction and legality note is an AI-generated estimate produced for training purposes. No judge has seen your pass. Scores are not official competition results and should never be presented as such.

Legality information is based on the skills you declare and is intended as guidance only. Always confirm legality with your coach and the rules of the competition you're entering.

8. Safety

CheerJudge is not a substitute for a qualified coach, proper matting or appropriate supervision. Do not attempt skills above your current level based on anything the app tells you.

The AI Coach will not advise on injuries, pain, nutrition, weight or body composition, and will not walk you through skills above your level. If you're in pain or have had a knock to the head, stop and speak to your coach and a medical professional.

9. Your content

You keep ownership of the footage you upload. Videos are sent to our AI provider only to generate your analysis and are not retained afterwards. See our Privacy Policy for detail.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Where a change materially affects what you receive, we'll give reasonable notice, and the "last updated" date above will always reflect the current version.
