Frequently asked questions

Everything athletes, parents, and coaches ask us.

How accurate are the scores?

CheerJudge scores against rules built from the official USASF 2025–26 rulebook — real deduction values, real skill legality per level. Think of it as an extremely consistent practice judge: the same clip gets the same score, and every deduction comes with a timestamp so you can verify it yourself. Scores are practice estimates, not official competition results.

Which skills can it judge?

Right now: standing tumbling, running tumbling, and jumps, across USASF Levels 1–7. Stunt scoring is coming soon — pyramids later. Every category we ship is built from the rulebook before it goes live.

How does the legality check work?

Every level has skills that are legal and skills that aren't (a standing back tuck is legal at Level 4, illegal at Level 3). CheerJudge knows the full progression and flags any skill in your clip that wouldn't be legal at your level — before a competition judge does it for you, at a much higher price.

How should I film for best results?

Film from the side, keep the athlete's full body in frame for the whole pass, use good lighting, and keep clips under 60 seconds with one athlete per clip. The analysis will tell you if the angle or quality limited what it could see.

Is it a coach replacement?

No — it's the tool for all the hours between coached sessions. Coaches use it to catch deductions early and settle "was that clean?" debates; athletes use it to practice with feedback instead of guessing; parents use it to see real progress.

What happens to my videos?

Videos are used only to generate your analysis, processed securely, and stored on your device — not on our servers. Full details in our privacy policy.

Is it suitable for young athletes?

CheerJudge is designed for athletes, parents, and coaches. For athletes under 13, we ask that a parent, guardian, or coach operates the app and submits videos on their behalf.

How much does it cost?

Every new athlete gets a 3-day free trial with full access to the AI judge. After the trial it’s $74.99/year (best value) or $9.99/month. Subscriptions are handled securely by the App Store and can be cancelled anytime in your device settings — cancel during the trial and you pay nothing.

When is Android coming?

Shortly after the iOS launch — it's in testing now. Email support@cheerjudgeapp.com to get notified.

The AI got a call wrong — what do I do?

Tell us! Email the clip type, your level, and what it said vs. what you expected to support@cheerjudgeapp.com. Real coach feedback is exactly how the judge gets sharper.
